We're delighted to announce that we've taken over the Silver Darlings Cafe at the Time & Tide Museum in Great Yarmouth.
We were previously located at the Books & Beans Cafe in Gt Yarmouth Library, but due to the upcoming re-location of the library we were looking for a new venue and are very pleased to have found a new home at the wonderful Time & Tide Museum.
The Time & Tide Museum is a vibrant centre of history and learning for the town, and is based in the old Tower Fish Curing Works on Blackfriars. The Silver Darlings Cafe is named for the herrings which the town's fortunes were built upon, and reflects the long history of economic migration to the town, which dovetails well with the work that GYROS does.
As well as indoor seating, the Cafe has courtyard tables and an upstairs meeting room to accommodate private parties / events.
We provide a delicious range of home-made cakes, snacks and light meals along with teas, coffees and soft drinks. We offer a selection of international food choices including Baklava and salgadinhos. We also sell ice creams and sweets.
As well as great food, we will also be offering volunteering opportunities to local people. So get in touch if you'd like to find out more.
The cafe is open daily from 11.00am - 3.00pm.
This project is generously funded by the Norfolk Community Foundation.
