Remembering Together

Weekly Reminiscence Boxes Workshops, funded by Suffolk Community Foundation, took place at GYROS throughout 2016 and 2017.

The workshops aimed to celebrate cultural diversity and cultural differences in the community and help to build community resources by capturing stories and memories of countries from all over the world.

​

The workshops allowed a platform for our service users to learn English, express themselves and make friends in a safe and friendly environment. The Reminiscence Boxes project was successful at preventing social isolation among BME elders in the community and promoting cross-cultural integration.
